Romney concedes victory to Obama

Defeated Republican candidate Mitt Romney conceded the US election to Barack Obama, wishing him success and thanking all those who helped his campaign. Barack Obama replied: We are in this together and that’s how we campaigned, thank you. Obama went on to deliver a moving victory speech having piled up 303 electoral votes to Romney’s 206.  National exit polls suggested 48 percent of the electorate backed Romney, 50 percent Obama.
