Rouhani: Nuclear resolution possible in months
Iranian president Hassan Rouhani told the Washington Post that his choice would be a three-month time table for resolving the nuclear issue and six months would still be good. Later Thursday he is due to meet the foreign ministers of five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany. They will be testing whether his apparent willingness to reach a deal is genuine or a performance for getting rid of sanctions. DEBKAfile: The brevity of Rouhani’s time table confirms our reporting that many of the key issues have already been settled in several weeks of secret diplomacy between Barack Obama and Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
