Russia closes all its border as coronavirus infections climb to 1,264

As of March 30, all Russian borders are closed by government order to vehicle, rail and pedestrian traffic as well as its maritime boundaries. The order grounded all Aeroflot international flights from Friday night. Updated coronavirus figures in Russia on Saturday were 1,264 cases and four deaths. President Vladimir Putin declared the week from March 28 to April 5 a nationwide paid holiday to encourage people to stay at home and slow the spread of the virus.
