Russia moves first tactical nuclear arms to Belarus

The first batch of Russia’s tactical nuclear weapons has been stationed in Belarus. President Vladimir Putin told a forum of African would-be peacemakers on Friday that the move was about “containment” in case anyone is “thinking of inflicting a strategic defeat on us.” US Secretary of State Antony Blinken responded: “We don’t see any indications that Russia is preparing to use a nuclear weapon.”. Putin also said that Ukraine’s counter-offensive could not succeed because its military was running out its own military equipment. He warned that any F16 US fighter jets given to Ukraine “will burn, no doubt about it.”
