Russia: No guarantee of progress in future nuclear talks with Iran
Sergey Ryabkov, senior Russian negotiator at the Geneva talks on a nuclear Iran, said after they ended Wednesday that he sees no guarantee of further progress in future talks with Iran. A new meeting has been set for Nov. 7-8, again in the Swiss city, after the current round failed to break the impasse on Iran’s nuclear program. Ryabkov, a close adviser to President Vladimir Putin, was cited as saying: “There could have been better cooperation” in reference to Iran and the Western powers.
