Russia reduces combat flights in Syria to minimum

Aviation flights and troop numbers in Syria “have been reduced to the minimum number within the framework of combat training and further reconnaissance of the situation,” said Gen Sergei Rudskoy, Chief of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff Main Directorate for Operations, at a briefing on Thursday. The general said, “The routing of the major terrorist formations made it possible to complete active Russian combat actions in Syria in December 2017. Hardware and arms not belonging to the strength of our bases in Hmeimim and Tartus were withdrawn to Russian territory,” he noted.

Russia reduces it’s flights because Turkey is buying the Russian S-400 anti-missile system. Money talks.
