Russia sharing miltary intelligence with Taliban, Putin’s envoy says
Zamir Kabulov, Russian President Vladimir Putin's special envoy to Afghanistan, said Wednesday that "the Taliban interest objectively coincides with ours" in the war against ISIS, adding that intelligence bodies of his country and the Taliban "have channels for exchanging information." Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova confirmed the comments but emphasized that there is "no travel, no meetings. It's only information exchange" regarding the war on Islamic State.
