Russia tells US to stop striking pro-Assad forces in Syria

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov phoned US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson Saturday after another US military strike on a pro-Assad force saying it was unacceptable to Moscow. According to a Russian Foreign Ministry statement, the two officials also confirmed their desire to step up cooperation to end the Syrian conflict, and discussed the need to mend the rift between Qatar and a group of Arab nations through negotiations.
