Russia to hold naval maneuvers near Syria

A group of Russian naval vessels will carry out drills in the eastern Mediterranean this month and in October, Russia’s Defense Ministry said Thursday. It added that the drills will involve a landing ship, a guided missile cruiser, a guided missile destroyer and other vessels.
