Russia & Turkey to speed up delivery of S-400 systems

Russian president Vladimir Putin announced Wednesday in Ankara that it was decided with his Turkish counterpart Tayyip Erdogan to speed up delivery of the S-400 air defense missile systems to Turkey. They held a joint news conference ahead of their summit on Syria with the Iranian president. Regarding US objections to the first sale of Russian weapons to a NATO member, Putin stressed: “This is a matter of commerce, Companies are working on it.” Erdogan put in: “This issue is now closed.”
