Russia vetoes Sec Council Crimea resolution

Russia Saturday vetoed a Security Council resolution ruling the Crimea referendum taking place Sunday invalid. China abstained from the vote. The measure drafted by the US urged countries not to recognize the results of the referendum, which gives Crimeans a straight choice between joining Russia and stronger autonomy within Ukraine
