Russian aid trucks begin leaving Ukraine

Trucks marked as being from a bitterly disputed Russian aid convoy to Ukraine began returning to Russia on Saturday. Reporters say 67 trucks had left Ukraine before noon and a line three kilometers long was waiting to cross over through a checkpoint operated by separatist rebels. One driver said the entire convoy of about 260 would return to Russian by the end of the day. The Ukrainian government, supported by the West, continued to accuse Russia of invading the country, but refrained from attacking the convoy, which Moscow said carried food, water, generators and sleeping bags for the beleaguered rebels.
