Russian ambassador died of wounds from Islamist shooting

Russian media report that Russian Ambassador to Turkey, Andrewy Karlov, has died of his wounds after being shot in the back by an Islamist gunman. This is not confirmed. According to some reports, the assassin speaking Russian walked up to the ambassador who was addressing an art exhibition in Ankara, shouted Aleppo Revenge! Allahu Akbar! – then shot him and turned his gun on three other people. There are unconfirmed reports that the assassin has been shot dead by Turkish security forces after a gun battle.
