Russian and Ukrainian presidents agree on ceasefire
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky agreed to a cease-fire on Monday at the Elysee Palace. They were flanked by German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron. The truce halts a standoff in the fighting in the Donbas region between Russian-backed separatists and the Ukrainian army. The accord covers a prisoner swap by year’s end. The four leaders arranged to meet again in four months to decide on a general election in eastern Ukraine.

@GST001. The Russian Navy does not need any long-term lease. Historically Crimea has always been part of Russia and Russia is the de facto controller of Crimea since a few years ago. The article above is about the contested eastern part of Ukraine, the Donbas region, not the Crimea which is way down in the south and which is no longer controlled by the Ukraine. It was handed to the Ukraine for administration purposes by Stalin. Are you a Stalinist? Perhaps if you stopped worrying about capping every word you may learn a little history and geography.
