Russian colonel killed in Aleppo. Moscow’s 3rd fatality of week in Syria
The Russian Defense Ministry announced Wednesday that a senior officer, Col. Ruslan Galitsky, has died after being seriously wounded from rebel fire in the city of Aleppo while serving as an advisor to the Syrian military. Galitsky was the third Russian military fatality in Syria this week, after two female soldiers serving in a field hospital near Aleppo were killed in shelling by rebels, according to the ministry.
