Russian Defense Minister in Ankara before Sochi summit

To prepare for the Sochi summit of the Russian, Iranian and Turkish presidents on Feb. 15, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu visited Ankara on Monday for talks with his opposite number Gen. Hosli Akar on the subjects on the agenda. They discussed the situation in Syria and the position President Tayyip Erdogan intends to take in Sochi. Ahead of this summit, Gen. Akar is meeting on Wednesday with acting US Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan in Brussels.
