Russian defense minister on conciliatory visit to Cairo

Russian Defense Minister Gen. Sergei Shoigu spent the last two days in Cairo in talks with President Abdel-Fatteh El-Sisi and his opposite Egyptian number Sedhi Sobhi Said. The visitor stressed Moscow’s support for Egyptian efforts to defeat terrorism in Sinai and the rest of the country, and their shared interest in liquidating terrorism in the entire region.
