Russian foreign minister promotes reconciliation with Turkey
In the latest step toward ending the conflict between Moscow and Ankara, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Tuesday that "The (normalization) process will enable us to find more effective paths for solutions to crises in Syria." Speaking at a news conference in Azerbaijan, he added that "I can say that we will have fewer conflicts with our Turkish counterparts" following his July 1 meeting in Sochi with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, despite the differences of the two countries regarding Syria.
