Russian PM Medvedev on visit to Israel

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev arrived Wednesday in Israel with a party of business executives and Moscow Jewish community leaders. He is to meet President Reuven Rivlin, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Opposition leader Yitzhak Herzog. But first, he paid a visit to the Western Wall in Jerusalem. His mission is officially termed as the promotion of bilateral economic relations, and he has scheduled a tour of the Rehovoth agricultural research institute, which is famous for its innovations. However, DEBKAfile’s intelligence sources report that he has come mainly for quiet talks with Israeli leaders on the intelligence, military and security connotations of Donald Trump’s election as US president and their application to the ties between Russia and Israel
