Russian, Syrian air raids of Daraa continue contrary to ceasefire claims

In the last 48 hours, Russian and Syrian propaganda machines have been putting out claims of a ceasefire in the southern Syrian province of Daraa, while Russian and Assad regime officials negotiate a halt to hostilities with local rebel groups.  DEBKAfile’s military sources report that contrary to these claims, Russian and Syrian air strikes continue and thousands of refugees are still fleeing from the bombed areas towards the Golan border with Israel. Russian officials are engaging some rebel groups in talks.
