Russian, Turkish FMs to meet for first time since downing of Russian bomber
Sources in Moscow and Ankara said Tuesday that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will meet his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu on July 1 in the resort city of Sochi on the Black Sea. It will be the first meeting between senior Russian and Turkish officials since the Turkish air force shot down a Russian bomber in the Syria-Turkey border area in November 2015.
However, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that no immediate improvement of bilateral relations should be expected within a few days.
