Russians probe murder of Israeli man in St Petersburg

An anti-Semitic crime is suspected in the brutal beating of Mikahil Verevskoy, 27, on a St. Petersburg street, according to local media. He died in hospital five days later of severe brain trauma. Moscow’s Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that Ahmed Kharsha, 36, was detained and later released on bail as the investigation continued. The victim is survived by his pregnant wife.
