Russia’s spy service has a new head, Aleksandr Ivanovich

French intelligence sources name the prominent Russian spymaster Aleksandr P. Ivanovich as the new head oft the SVR foreign intelligence and spy agency, aka  Military Unit 61643. Ivanovich served in Washington and Cairo in the guise of a Russian diplomat. From Cairo, he ran Moscow’s intelligence and spy network across the Middle East.
