Saad Hariri “temporarily suspends” his resignation

Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri formally presented is resignation to President Michel Aoun Wednesday on his return to Beirut, but was asked to put it on hold ahead of “further consultations on the reasons for it.” Hariri said this in a televised speech, after leaving the Baabda presidential palace. Hariri first announced his resignation more than two weeks ago from Riyadh. Aoun said it must be submitted in person, alleging it was made under duress.

    Hariri will have to carefully check his car each time before he turns the key.
