Saudi prince and Erdogan discuss a deal over Khashoggi disappearance
Saudi Prince Khalid bin Faisal al Saud, Governor of Mecca, who arrived in Ankara on Thursday, spent another day discussing with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan a way out of the crisis caused by the mysterious disappearance of the Saudi journalist Jama Khashoggi in Istanbul on Oct. 2. Neither side has released any detail of their discussion. DEBKAfile: Erdogan wants a high price for backing away from the murder allegations leveled against Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman. The visiting prince is a senior member of the Saudi Allegiance Council which determines the order of succession to the throne. The Turkish president may be demanding nothing less than the abdication of Muhammed as crown prince and his replacement.
