Saudi prince released after one-billion dollar payment

Crown Prince Muhammed Bin Salman ordered the release of the sacked National Guard commander Prince Miteb Bin Abdullah, son of the late king. He was fired and then detained with hundreds of high-ranking princes, business tycoons and other notables in a crackdown on corruption in Riyadh earlier this month. DEBKAfile reports that he paid a billion dollars to the Saudi treasury for his release.
