Second Obama statement on Iraqi crisis without specifics

Although the US has increased training, equipment and intelligence, President Barack Obama said Friday that Iraq "needs additional support to break the momentum." Any military action would have to be "targeted, precise and effective." This was his second comment on Iraq in 24 hours. He promised America “would do our part” to help Iraq confront Islamic insurgents. "We will not be sending U.S. troops back into combat in Iraq, but reviewing other options,” he said after a meeting with his national security advisers.
