Israel’s coronavirus death toll climbs to 300 mark

Another 106 new coronavirus cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours raising the total on Thursday to 18,461. The number of active cases climbed by 28 to 2,947, of which 29 are serious and 24 on respirators. The death toll rose to 300. Due to surging infection figures, the Health Ministry has extended to at least early next month compulsory 14-day self-quarantine for returning Israelis. Cyprus now requires Israeli visitors to undergo covid-19 tests.
