Senate confirms John Brennan as CIA Director
The US Senate voted 63-34 to endorse John Brennan as next head of te CIA after Rep. Sen. Paul Rand spoke for 13 hours to slow the appointment. Attorney General Eric Holder said that Obama would not use his authority to order a drone to kill an American on U.S. soil who was "not engaged in combat." But the White House declined to state that “targeted killings” of American citizens on US soil were unconstitutional.
