Senate OKs Trump pick Sessions for attorney general

The US Senate on Wednesday approved the appointment of Jeff Sessions as attorney general by a small margin, with 52 in favor and 47 opposed. Sessions is known as a strong opponent of illegal immigration to the US. He is a lawyer by training who served four consecutive terms as senator and was a member of the Senate's defense, budget, environment, infrastructure and judiciary committees.
