Senior Israeli, Turkish officials discuss normalization of ties

An Israeli delegation led by Yosef Ciechanover, former director-general of the foreign ministry, met Thursday with a delegation of senior Turkish foreign ministry officials led by Deputy Foreign Minister Feridun Senirlioglu to reach agreement on the conditions for the restoration of bilateral relations to their previous state. The meeting held in a European capital also discussed the sale of Israeli natural gas to Turkey as well as the pumping of the gas from Israel's offshore fields through Cypriot and Greek waters to Turkey, and from there to Europe.
