Seven killed, 260 injured in Cairo street clashes

Egyptian police and protesters clashed in central Cairo early on Tuesday in fights which broke out when locals fought supporters of ousted Islamist President Mohamed Morsi trying to block major thoroughfares crossing the River Nile. The violence erupted Monday evening and lasted through Tuesday, claiming seven lives and wounding 260 people.
