Seven US troops killed in Afghanistan in one day
A US-led coalition spokesman reported that the five international troops killed by a roadside bomb in southern Afghanistan were all American. In another attack Saturday, an Afghan National Army soldier turned his weapon on coalition troops in the west, killing two. They two were later confirmed as American. These were the latest attacks since Taliban declared the launch of its spring offensive.
