Several rounds of Syrian fire on Israeli Golan after Yaalon visit
Syrian light arms fire was aimed at an Israeli military patrol at the Tel Hazaka position on the Israeli side of the Golan Tuesday night after a Syrian shell landed in the Tel Fares district. The attacks came after Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon and Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz inspected Israeli positions on the Golan and their readiness to deal with the chemical threat from Syria. During the day too a rocket or a shell was fired from the Gaza Strip, landing on empty ground in the Eshkol region. There were no casualties in any of those incidents.
