Shelling near Donatsk and Mariupol breach Ukraine truce

Shelling near Donatsk airport Sunday and a burst of artillery fire near the western Mariupol port Saturday night breached a ceasefire that held for 30 hours from Friday afternoon. There was no information about casualties. The presidents of Russia and Ukraine had earlier said the ceasefire between government forces and pro-Russian separatists would be part of a peace road-map intended to end five months of conflict. New EU sanctions on Russia were made contingent on a sustained ceasefire.
