Shooting at Capital newsroom kills five, injures two

Police in Annapolis, Maryland, say the shooting at the Capital newsroom Thursday was a “targeted attack.” The suspect was taken into custody hiding under a desk after killing five people and injuring two. Police have not released his name or motive. However official sources identified him as Jarrod Warren Ramos, who in 2012 filed a defamation claim against the paper which was dismissed.  Capital is one of a chain of local newspapers published by Capital Gazette, which has a history dating back to 1884. It is owned by the Baltimore Sun Media Group.
