Sirens early Monday in Greater Tel Aviv area

Rocket alerts were heard early Monday in Tel Aviv, Herzliya, Kfar Sharmyahu and, Ramat Hasharon shortly after explosions in Ashkelon and Hof Ashkelon to the south. Seven rockets were launched from the Gaza Strip overnight. During the day 70 rockets were fired by the afternoon. No news of casualties although damage is reported. A blitz of 140 rockets and mortar shells covered a large part of Israel Sunday. Israel air strikes continued over the Gaza Strip.
