Six Islamist terrorists executed in Egypt

The six men executed Sunday were captured in an Egyptian special forces raid in March 2014 on a terrorist cell in a village north of Cairo, in which six other cell members were killed. Their deaths were mourned by Ansar Beit Al-Magdis, which now calls itself the Islamist State of Sinai.

In an attack Saturday on the northern Sinai Al-Arish-Rafah highway, three Egyptian judges were killed and one mortally injured, on their way to presiding over a North Sinai court  A short time earlier, a Cairo court sentenced ousted Mohamed Morsi and fellow Muslim Brotherhood leaders to death – subject to confirmation by Egypt’s Grand Mufti on June 2.
