Six Palestinian rockets trigger second IDF raid against Hamas
Before dawn Friday morning 6 Palestinian rockets from Gaza woke Nahal Oz and Alumim residents in southern Israel, causing alarm but no casualties. The rocket barrage followed an earlier IDF bombing raid in reprisal for the 26 fires set off by terror balloons during Thursday. It sparked a second round of Israeli air strikes which hit Hamas weapons production sites near Gaza City on Friday morning. Hamas spokesmen warned on Thursday that “messages” would be sent out to Israel within hours after efforts to reach a ceasefire had failed. A terrorist group source added that the Qatari envoy Mohammed al-Emadi, during two days in the enclave this week, had delivered cash to the Hamas rulers, but failed to persuade them to accept a ceasefire and stop their assaults on neighboring Israeli communities.
