Seven Palestinians killed in Gaza mob riots, 11 balloon fires
The Palestinian Hamas were able on Friday to mobilize a record number of 20,000 rioters for its most violent and massive disturbance along the Gaza-Israeli border fence in three months. Several tried to force their way through, while hurling grenades and firebombs at the Israeli troops guarding the fence. Seven Palestinians were killed and hundreds injured when the troops used gunfire and crowd dispersal measures to hold them back. IDF drones struck Hamas positions from which incendiary balloons were being released against Israel. Nevertheless, enough balloons made it across to ignite 11 fires in Israeli areas.
