Six Yemeni terrorists released from Guantanamo Bay

Six Yemeni prisoners held for years at Guantanamo Bay detention centre have been shipped to Oman, the US says. They had long been cleared to leave but could not be sent back to Yemen because of the country’s instability. Congress barred transfers to the US mainland, leaving the option of third countries. Following an Omani initiative, a Yemen peace conference opens in Geneva Sunday.
