Sky News said to obtain personal details of 22,000 ISIS members
Britain's Sky News said Thursday it is in possession of computer files containing the registration details of 22,000 people from 51 countries who joined Islamic State, including their names, telephone numbers, the names of their family members, addresses, and the countries where they fought. One of the files is said to contain the details of fighters trained to carry out suicide attacks.
According to the network, the files came from a flash drive handed over by an ISIS member who served in the terrorist organization's internal security police. However, DEBKAfile's intelligence and defense sources emphasize that it is very possible that the reported source is an intentional deception aimed at concealing the true source of the data. The network said it would provide the files to the British authorities.
