The IDF soldier who was injured by one of the explosive devices thrown by Gaza terrorists Sunday night is a 20-year old volunteer from Los Angeles. He is being treated for injuries to lung and windpipe caused by flying shrapnel, after being flown to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon by helicopter. His name was not released. The IDF reported that dozens of Palestinian rioters attacked Israeli soldiers patrolling the northern Gaza border with homemade explosive devices and burning tires. Israeli tanks retaliated with artillery fire on Hamas positions.
