South Korea’s President removed on corruption scandal

South Korea's Constitutional Court decision to remove President Park Geun-hye from office Friday sparked protests in which two of her supporters were killed in clashes with police. Park, the country’s first democratically elected leader, was ousted amid rising tension with North Korea and a corruption scandal that also landed the head of the Samsung conglomerate in jail. A presidential election will be held within 60 days.
