Southern Israeli highways to be reopened shortly

The IDF Thursday evening closed the west-to-east roads around the towns of Beersheba and Ofakim and the east-to-west road link to Dimona in southern Israel because of an unspecified “security event.” An exhaustive search by military and special police forces is almost over. Meanwhile the residents of locations further west, Ain Hashlosha, Kissufim and Nirim, instructed to stay at home over a suspected terrorist infiltration were given the all clear. Their road links were reopened.
