Special briefing at 1800 on coronavirus steps as new cases hit 79

Health Ministry officials will hold a special briefing at 1800 on Friday to announce steps to be taken in view of the spike in new coronavirus cases to 79 in three days after two weeks in decline. They are expected to estimate whether Israel is seeing a second wave of the pandemic after the first began to subside. Since fresh outbreak centers on schools, the ministry may recommend closing 8-12 grades.
