Special security for Thatcher funeral
London has laid on special security measures, including police reinforcements and dogs trained to sniff out explosives, for the state funeral with military honors Wednesday of the late British Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher, who died last week aged 87. British MI5 is on terror alert after the Boston Marathon bombings Monday, which killed three people and injured 176.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is among the invited foreign guests for the occasion.
Thatcher’s death revived the cobntroversies at home surrounding her policies, but protest demonstrations at the funeral have been largely banned.
