State Dept gives green light to arms deals with Kuwait worth $519 mln
The US State Department reported to Congress on Monday that it approved two arms deals worth a total of $519 million with Kuwait. One of the deals, worth $400 million, covers the maintenance and logistical support of the Kuwaiti air force's Apache AH-64D attack helicopters. US defense contractor Raytheon is to sell the air force 60 AIM-120C-7 AMRAAM medium-range missiles worth $119 million under the second deal.
