Super Tuesday: frontrunners Clinton, Trump win emphatically
Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton and Republican candidate Donald Trump strengthened their positions as frontrunners in the US presidential race with big wins in the "Super Tuesday" primary elections. Clinton won in Massachusetts, Georgia, Texas, Alabama, Tennessee, Virginia and Arkansas, while her Democratic rival, Sen. Bernie Sanders, carried Vermont, Oklahoma, Colorado and Minnesota.
Among the Republicans, Trump was the winner in Vermont, Alabama, Tennessee, Virginia, Georgia, Arkansas and Massachusetts, while Sen. Ted Cruz prevailed in Texas, Oklahoma and Alaska, and Sen. Marco Rubio took Minnesota.
