Suspect arrested after bucket bomb attack on London Tube train

Scotland Yard reports that a man has been arrested in connection with the small terrorist bomb in a packed carriage at the West London Parson’s Green underground station, which exploded during the Friday morning rush hour. He was picked out by CCTV aboard the train. Some 22 people were injured, none seriously – suffering either burn wounds from the blast or trampled in the panicked stampede to leave the train. Police sources say that the small improvised device was fitted with a timer and did not fully detonate. The terror alert level in London will remain “severe” meaning that a terrorist attack was considered “highly likely,” Prime Minister Theresa May said after chairing a COBRA meeting. She rebuked US President Donald Trump, who said “The Tube attack is a terrible thing, but the terrorists are in Scotland Yard’s sights.” She said speculation about an ongoing investigation was “not helpful.”
